Explore and learn with informal farm visits.

  • Numbers are limited, so please contact us for more details and to book your place
  • All Children must be accompanied by their parent/guardian
  • Topics, dates and times can be arranged on request. We only require 6 children minimum per private visit
  • Adjustments can be made to suit the age, ability and interests of the group
  • Please wear suitable clothing to include trousers and closed footwear (not sandals), walking is on farm tracks and field pathways. Conditions could be muddy.

Come to our farm and see how we have integrated general farm practices with our commitment to wildlife. Enjoy a walk through our farm and fields to see what we do and discover creatures and where they live – in our fields, ponds, woodland and crops planted for wildlife.


Farming and wildlife – Children’s visit

Farm morning visit for children aged 4  – 16 years with each child (or siblings) accompanied by a parent / guardian. There is no charge, but booking is essential

Arrive 9.45a.m. at Elm Farm
10am A steady walk through our farm (no one gets left behind)! We will,  in an informal educational manner, show you what we do on the farm, while also being able to enjoy the beautiful countryside and wildlife along the way.
Finish approx 12.30pm

Apple Juice Making – Children’s visit

Very popular in past years, we will be doing an Orchard morning for children aged 4  – 16 years with each child (or siblings) accompanied by a parent / guardian.

There is no charge, but booking is essential.

Arrive 9.45 at the Orchard
10am Walk through the orchard to learn about the trees, their fruit and the wildlife that thrive within an orchard. We will then pick up apples and press them for juice to drink on the day.

Pick your own Cider apples

Weekends 15-16th 2022  9am-1pm

Collect apples for making cider yourselves at home. We have a mixed crop of bitter sweet apples perfect for mixed or single variety cider production. Come and collect the apples yourselves and take as fruit for processing at home, or help use our crusher/press to turn into juice.

Apple varieties; Michelin, Dabbinett, Harry Masters, Chisil Jersey, Browns, Kingston Black, Yarlington Mill

30p per KG or 85p per Ltr of juice (Bulk orders POA)
